Tenant Zero - Buro Fervent

The very first tenant of The Rise was the one-man business of Michiel Daamen: Buro Fervent. His company recruits higher educated technicians in the South of The Netherlands. In 2019 Michiel literally crossed the road and moved his company to The Rise.

Michiel started Buro Fervent in early 2015 and up until now he has been working independently. Michiel: “I recruit all kinds of engineers and managers for the technical industry.” Fervent is a synonym for enthusiasm and passion – it’s what Michiel brings to the office every single day. “I have been working in the technical job placement industry for 16 years.”

Freedom to move

Six years ago, Michiel started working in the city center of Tilburg. After one year he moved to The Hub at the Dr. Hub van Doorneweg, the same street as where The Rise is located. Michiel: “We occupied The Hub with a few small companies”. In early 2020 the office was being renovated and I had to start looking for a new office space.” One of the benefits of being an entrepreneur, Michiel explains, is being able to decide where you want to work. “Tilburg has a lot of space to offer and in my opinion The Rise is one of the best-looking workplaces in this city.”

From center to edge

Through acquaintances Michiel got into contact with The Rise’s General Manager Boas Schraven and turned out to be the very first tenant of The Rise. “When they were rebuilding and redecorating the ground floor, I was already receiving my clients at the third floor. I am very happy with the facilities of The Rise. The building is right next to the highway A58, which is perfect for clients to reach my office. This would be a lot more difficult with an office located in the city center.”

A hotel

The Rise is also an upgrade for Buro Fervent when it comes to appearances. Michiel: “The building is representative. I am a huge fan of The Rise’s concept, which Boas created. When my daughter came to visit, she even mentioned it looks like a hotel. I think this is a big compliment for an office building: it makes you feel welcome and feel at home. I am proud to receive my clients here.”

Extraordinary luxury

Apart from the appearance and accessibility of The Rise, the service serves as another great benefit. Michiel “The catering in the building is perfect. Prins Heerlijk works with fresh ingredients and offers a wide variety in meals every day. I really appreciate the coffee of Locals, the best in town to my opinion. And there is of course a gym: an extraordinary luxury. You can find me there at least three times a week.”

Talk business

The contact and interaction with the other tenants of the third floor is, despite COVID-19, still very much alive. Michiel: “As a small company, I prefer to be on a floor with other small businesses, it offers a nice atmosphere. We drink a cup of coffee, play darts or talk business all at once!” Michiel hopes a large company will rent the first tower of The Rise. “It would be pleasing for the image of Tilburg to have a large company settled here. But smaller companies are also very welcome, they will help to foster the ambience and dynamics of The Rise.”
